A partnership that continues to flourish

As the calendar turns to August, the start of a new school year brings with it new possibilities, new relationships, and a chance to reconnect with old friends. At Westview, we were excited to welcome teachers, coaches, administrators, and staff from the Hollis school system back to campus. We had the privilege of serving a meal to 70 members of the school community during their Inservice workdays. Our Executive Director, Terry Owens, offered words of encouragement and a blessing, and we gave each person a gift to help them start the new year off right.

At Westview Boys’ Home, we deeply understand the vital role that Hollis school staff plays in the lives and development of our young men. Though our residents can bring unique challenges into the classroom, the teachers and staff handle them with remarkable grit and grace. Our partnership in the education of each resident helps us provide a brighter future for every young man in our care.

This year is particularly exciting because it’s the first for our new Program Director, Jason Roark. With his background in special education and life transition management, we’re looking forward to greater teamwork and collaboration with the school system to plan for our residents’ educational goals.

We are incredibly grateful for our partnership with the Hollis school system. Having such wonderful partners makes our jobs easier, and we consider this relationship one of our greatest blessings. We will continue to pray for the teachers and staff as they work with all students, especially the young men of Westview.
