At Westview Boys’ Home, our young men now have an exciting opportunity to work with their show calves in a brand-new facility. Designed with care and purpose, this space provides everything needed to properly train and care for their animals. Featuring a cool house, upgraded wash racks, and expanded grooming areas, the new barn not only makes daily chores more efficient but also helps instill responsibility and discipline as the boys prepare for upcoming livestock shows.
Working with show calves goes far beyond feeding and cleaning; it becomes a classroom for life lessons. The boys learn patience and consistency as they carefully train their calves to respond in the show ring. They also experience the value of teamwork, since caring for livestock often requires collaboration to ensure the animals’ health and progress. In this new space, that spirit of cooperation shines even brighter, with residents sharing tasks and encouraging one another through challenges.
More than just a barn, this facility is a place of growth and opportunity. Here, the young men not only prepare their calves for competition but also build confidence, character, and perseverance—qualities that will stay with them long after the show season ends. None of this would be possible without the generosity of the many friends who gave to make this project a reality. We are humbled by the way God continues to provide for Westview through faithful supporters, and we are deeply grateful. Every gift helps make these lessons—and the life-changing work of Westview Boys’ Home—possible.
