Just for fun, the church decided to have a cooking contest that was just desserts. For several of our guys, this competition was right in their sweet spot, so they worked with Miss Angelene to gather up the ingredients and prepare their favorite desserts.
Not only did our young men do well in the contest, they had an abundance of new experiences to share with each other and their friends at church.
- Jasper – dirt cake
- Alex – cheesecake egg rolls
- Nate – peanut butter and jelly cookies
- Levi – strawberry crinkle cookies
All of these desserts were winners! We’re proud that each of these young men is already acquiring cooking skills. In the view of the Westview team, kitchen skills are fundamental for independent living. Well done, guys!
