LAUNCH Mentors
Gary and Mary Smith are our mentors for the LAUNCH program in Weatherford, Oklahoma. Gary and Mary Smith have had honorable careers in several high-responsibility jobs previous to this, and they have been a part of Westview training events over the past year in preparation for this day.
Gary and Mary Smith came to LAUNCH from Clinton, Oklahoma. Gary is retired from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. He had a long career in the armed forces, law enforcement, and residential child care. He has a BS from Southwestern Oklahoma State University. Mary served the Human Resources person for the City of Clinton and worked in residential child care as well.
The Smiths live in our LAUNCH neighborhood and are available to the young men living there as conversation partners, life skill teachers, spiritual counselors, and mentors.
