Visions 2022

Westview’s Executive Director Honored

The Oklahoma Center for Nonprofits held its annual Visions Awards ceremony on November 29th. Visions honored six nonprofit leaders who act as innovative and inspiring agents of change in the community.

This year’s recipient of the Pat Potts Visionary Award goes to Ron Bruner. “This award,” noted Visions chair Jessica Gilmore, “goes to an individual executive leader who has inspired the success of their organization.” She went on to say that he was being honored “for his mentoring and teaching of young people and for his dedication to transforming the lives of families throughout Oklahoma.” Ron is the executive director of Westview Boys’ Home, a position he has held for 23 years.

Since 1956, Westview has provided shelter, security, education, and guidance to young men in need. The team works carefully with each youth to create and tailor a care program designed to meet their specific needs.
