The homes are finished; now please help furnish them
By the grace and providence of God, Westview has been able to complete its five-home independent living neighborhood in Weatherford, Oklahoma. It has space for twelve residents at the start; there is plenty of room for additional space as it becomes necessary. There is a hospitality house, where visitors, prospective residents, and others seeking help can come. There is also a home for the Westview LAUNCH mentors, who oversee all of this work.
Through grants, gifts from estates, and other gifts, we have invested $2.3 million in this neighborhood. Next comes the less expensive, but no less important task of furnishing these homes. Through your generous giving we can get this job done. Below is a list of the capabilities of gifts of differing amounts:
- Fund the purchase of bed linens and towels for one resident – $150
- Equip the kitchen of one home with cooking equipment, dishes, glasses, and flatware $1,215
- Furnish a young man’s bedroom – $1,700
- Furnish the living and dining space in one home – $3,900
- Pay for the appliances in one home – $4,933
- Invest in yard equipment (ZTR, etc.) to maintain our campus – $7,500
