The Westview Transitions program will provide space and resources for young men who have aged out of other programs, including those young men from Westview but not limited to them. Although our ranch in Harmon County is a perfect site for our family-style program for adolescents, it is important that we build this space where there is significant access to appropriate vocational, technical, and collegiate learning experiences and a large job market.
Consequently, we hope to build a facility in the Mustang/Yukon, Oklahoma area. This area is close to several churches who have had a long-term interest in Westview and the young men who live there. The facility is currently envisioned as a campus with two or more two-bedroom duplexes. This arrangement provides our young men with adequate space to learn necessary lifestyle and household management skills and at the same time allows us to keep mentoring assistance nearby.
